Standards Style Manual, Part 2 amended — stage codes mandatory on published deliverables
Clause 12 of the Standards Style Manual, Part 2 has been amended so that every published deliverable carries its current stage code in the document header. The amendment applies at once to new deliverables and at next revision for existing ones.

Systematic review opened for the candidate-materials series
A systematic review has been opened for deliverables in the candidate-materials series. Member bodies are requested to indicate confirm, revise, or withdraw for each document within the review period.

Catalog release 2026-08 scheduled
Catalog release 2026-08 will consolidate all amendments issued since release 2026-02, including the renumbering of two composite profiles. Consolidated reference numbers remain stable; only edition markers change.

Control series extended to five deliverables
Two further control documents have been registered. Control deliverables carry no fingerprints and exist to establish the false-positive baseline for assessment methods described in the measurement series.

Terminology alignment across the professional-communication series
Working Group 1 has completed the alignment of defined terms with SQLBL 1000. Deliverables affected will carry the aligned terminology from their next edition; no normative requirement is changed by the alignment.

The ninth edition supersedes the eighth edition in its entirety. Drafts under enquiry at the date of publication may complete their current stage under the eighth edition.
